Pennyfarthing Cottage was absolutely amazing! Thank you so much Helen for letting us stay in your beautiful home, The kitchen, the aga, the lovely bedroom view-everything was perfect. We will definitely be returning again soon. Nicole and Greg June 2016
Our stay at pennyfarthing was a real welcome break. We enjoyed being able to walk out the back door and be instantly on a stunning coastal walk. The cottage is beautiful and wow what views! Kathy and Roy June 2016
We had a really wonderful stay. Please don't change anything as it was perfect. We can't wait to stay again. Alan July 2016
We really enjoyed our time at Penny Farthing - the cottage itself is compact but has everything you need including comfy bed and power shower. The aga was a treat and made breakfast times really cosy. The location is excellent for walks on the costal path with a corner shop, pub, chip shop and lovely cafe 10 minutes walk away. The village is 20 mins drive from St Ives and less to Penzance so you have all the amenities whist having your own sheltered spot secluded from neighbouring homes. Zoe M May 2016
I loved the cottage. It was just what I needed after a stressful year/term term at work and I felt so relaxed waking up to the ocean instead of the sounds of suburbia and the pressures of work. I actually left Pennyfarthing at 1.30 on Saturday morning, to avoid the traffic and get home for 7 am, allowing me to catch up with things at home. I left everything as clean and tidy as I could, and put the rubbish/re-cycling out for Cynthia to put in the bins (which I could not find). The AGA is a pleasure to use, and the kettle boils in seconds, so making a cup of tea after a long walk is a pleasure to look forward to. Peter Aug 2016

Beautiful cottage by the sea

We had a wonderful time in this beautiful cottage overlooking the Atlantic Ocean and the historical Geevor Tin Mine site. Perfectly positioned to explore the beauty of the Penwith coast and its many coastal path walks and surrounding historical towns and villages - and of course the incredible Minack Theatre. We enjoyed good pub food in many of the local pubs.
The AGA was the most amazing and comforting part of the cottage. So wonderful to come down to its warmth every morning and again at the end of the day - virtually instant boiling the kettle!
Our only hesitation in giving this near perfect cottage 5 stars is that as international travellers it is not convenient to have to bring our own towels. I would recommend this cottage to my family and friends in Australia who love to travel - but I know this one small thing would be a big negative.
Helen is easy to communicate with and the cottage was exactly as described - we did come equipped with towels!
Would definitely love to revisit sometime in the future.
everything was great during our stay at Pennyfarthing Cottage!!! Everything was well prepared and your house was absolutely lovely and cosy. We even managed to handle the AGA oven without any problems Our highlight was the view on the sea while lying in our bed!!! Frank Aug 2016
Perfect to relax. Atlantic ocean, South West Coast Path, remains of early industrialism, local pub, lighthouse etc. in easy walking distance.
A cottage as you imagine it. It is well equipped. And on top: the warmth of the AGA-oven is marvellous Simone D Sept 2016
Authentic rustic cottage in Poldark Country. Exactly as described with a wonderful sea view from the Bedroom window.
The property was clean and and well equipped, the Aga was a real bonus.
I would recommend this cottage if you like coastal walks and quiet unspoilt countryside.
There is a local shop and pub within walking distance. The Meadhouse was a real treat, and very reasonable.
Looking forward to going back next year in the summer. Glyn B Nov 2016
